[Bangalore, Karnataka] – 16 August, 2011 – Invensys Skelta has earned a Distinguished Honoree medal in The 2011 International Business Awards. The company’s flagship product, Skelta Business Process Management (BPM), was nominated for the category Best New Product or Service of the Year - Computer Software. The International Business Awards are the only global, all-encompassing business awards program honoring great performances in business.
Nicknamed the Stevie®for the Greek word “crowned,” the awards will be presented to honorees at a gala event on Tuesday, 11 October in the Emirates Palace Hotel in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
Honorees were selected from more than 3,000 entries received from organizations and individuals in more than 40 nations.
Skelta BPM provides enterprises with a rich collaborative platform to automate their sequence of human, system and document centric processes. Skelta BPM is also utilized to build rich composite applications
such as Accounts Payable Solution, Document Management system, Corporate Governance, and Human Resource Information System for various industries ranging from Aerospace and Defense, Automotive, Retail, Government, Healthcare, Finance and many more.
With the acquisition of Skelta by Invensys Operations Management in April 2010, manufacturing industries across the globe are now using Skelta BPM technology
to realize an integrated enterprise. Further extending the integrated application capabilities of the company’s ArchestrA® System Platform software, ArchestrA Workflow software captures and enforces operational processes across business and production systems to automate the response to process exceptions. The software synchronizes human and system activity by enforcing standard operating procedures, as well as standard responses to abnormal events, such as downtime, quality breaches or yield decreases. In short, it extends and improves collaboration across the manufacturing enterprise by coordinating people, processes and systems to accomplish specific business objectives.
Honorees were determined through two rounds of judging by close to 200 professionals worldwide.
“Entries to The International Business Awards grew by more than 80% this year, and that illustrates the increasing importance of the IBAs worldwide,” said Michael Gallagher, president of the Stevie Awards, presenters of the IBAs. “We congratulate all of the honorees, and we look forward to recognizing them for their achievements at our gala event in Abu Dhabi on 11 October.”
Speaking on this occasion, Sanjay Shah, Managing Director, Invensys Skelta, said, “We are proud to be recognized as a ‘Distinguished Honoree’ by Stevies International Business Awards. This recognition is not restricted to just honoring our product, but also recognizes the people behind it, and it is dedicated to the efforts of our employees to bring about a revolutionary product for the manufacturing industry.”
“We at Invensys Skelta subscribe to the highest standards of ethics, corporate responsibility, and customer service and this accolade is a very critical recognition of our commitment to excellence," he added.
